Gestalt therapy (Perls, 1947; Perls, Hefferline, & Goodman, 1951) forms an intrinsic part of EFT.
Gestalt therapy adopted a dynamic, field theory view of motivation in which the most dominant need was seen as emerging in the Situation and as organizing the field.
In Gestalt therapy, the core process is to increase awareness by attend- ing to feelings, sensations, and motoric processes.
